A community-wide open house featuring sessions, workshops in music and dance, song circle, Irish conversation group, potluck, gift exchange, and céilí mór (called dance)!

For St. Brigid’s Day, our Irish language community is hosting a special workshop on Brid the Healer. No knowledge of Irish / Gaeilge is necessary to enjoy this interesting discussion of Bríd as a healer and healing traditions in Irish history and Irish herbalism featuring Interactive activities and handouts.

3:00pm – 8:30pm, Waverly UCC Church, 3300 SE Woodward, Portland, $10 suggested donation

3:00-4:00pm Open Music Session

4:00-5:00pm Cultural Block

• Make a St. Brigid’s Cross

• Slow players tune session

• Song Circle

• Workshop on Brid the Healer, Exploring Herbalism and the Irish Language (no knowledge of Irish / Gaeilge needed)

• Open tune session

5:00-6:00pm Potluck supper

6:00-6:30pm Introductory dance lesson

6:30-8:30pm Ceili with Bob Soper

8:30-9:00 All hands clean up
